notes in November
Here are some of my notes that i have been rereading and pondering from the General Women's meeting and General Conference from last month (Here are links to both of those meetings: https://www.lds.org/general-conference/sessions/2015/10?lang=eng ).....
(Moroni 7:45-48)
- Do more than just exist
- Live to fill the measure of your creation
- All knowledge and truth comes from God, not the internet
- God didn't design us to be sad. He made us to have JOY!
- Choose to have faith and be joyful
- Fill your life with meaningful things
- Everything will work out
- if we are prepared we shall not fear
- doubt your doubts before you doubt your faith
Carl surprised me and sent 36 roses to our house the other day, just because!
- be engaged in intentional parenting
- Don't focus on what you CAN'T do, focus on what you CAN do
- Be distinct and different in happy ways from women of the world
- Act on promptings from the Holy Ghost, and more will come.
- The restored Gospel of Jesus Christ is the Gospel of Transformation
- "Ponderize" one scripture a week to give your thoughts a higher place to go
The words i wrote and rewrote as I listened to conference were these: Hold on and hold tight to the Gospel!
And here is our new family scripture that we are working on memorizing and making part of our lives (it was also a part of my notes from conference) -
45 And charity suffereth long, and is kind, and envieth not, and is not puffed up, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked,
thinketh no evil, and rejoiceth not in iniquity but rejoiceth in the
truth, beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things,
endureth all things.
46 Wherefore,
my beloved brethren, if ye have not charity, ye are nothing, for
charity never faileth. Wherefore, cleave unto charity, which is the
greatest of all, for all things must fail—
47 But charity is the pure love of Christ, and it endureth forever; and whoso is found possessed of it at the last day, it shall be well with him.
48 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, pray
unto the Father with all the energy of heart, that ye may be filled
with this love, which he hath bestowed upon all who are true followers of his Son, Jesus Christ; that ye may become the sons of God; that when he shall appear we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is; that we may have this hope; that we may be purified even as he is pure. Amen(Moroni 7:45-48)

Oh how I love October
Morning Glories Lalayna found in our backyard. Doesn't it look like light is coming from the center?
Deesember and her horse "Red"
One of our kitties
A bug friend Lalayna found outside crawling up our house.
Scenery from our house, one of the kids captured.
More flowers Lalayna found out in the pasture.
Baby Jake playing in the girls room
Best Friends (most of the time)
Carl and the girls going to the Daddy-Daughter campout. (The girls look forward to that all year long)
We went to an "Ole Timers Day" with our homeschool group. We were able to participate in activities that were part of daily life back in the day. Sam and Clara washing clothes the old fashioned way.
Lalayna sawing wood
Clara in a potato sack race
Jake "helping" Deesember work on a poster.
Lalayna and her friend at Karate
Clara and her friend Cloey at an activity at church - they were supposed to make costumes out of cardboard boxes.
Pumpkin carving
Harvest Festival costumes
Sam helps out with Jake A LOT! He babysits during the day for $1 an hour. Sam likes to make money, so these two spend a lot of time together.
